Fantastic online course on resource guarding
Wow, this online course is just amazing, explains why your dog resource guards, what signs to look out for and how to manage/deal with it in simple step by step sessions. There is so much more to resource guarding than I realised and Helen goes through various training sessions to help you teach your dog they don’t have to be worried about losing their prize possession, be it food, a toy, sofa or favourite person. Helen also covers how to deal with setbacks and how to keep moving forward even once you have completed the course to prevent slipping back into bad habits. We have attended various classes with Helen over the last year and can give her nothing but praise for her commitment and dedication not just to the dogs but also their owners, helping overcome what we’ve considered impossible situations, she will always come up with a solution. The resource guarding course is a continuation of Helen’s commitment, I believe it will help us train Mac to be a much better behaved dog all round not just a soft toy hoarder!! Amazing resource for all dog guardians
Soo much amazing content, not just clear explanations of guarding behaviour and it's driver, warning signs and management techniques but a clear training plan to help you and your guarder build trust and behaviours to move you both forward in a more harmonious relationship. Helen explains clearly why the behaviour helps, how to train and progress the behaviours and also common issues you may experience and how to train through them. Helen's never ending love to help dogs and their guardians live together happily shines through in this course. A must for all dog owners not just those with obvious resource guarders, it will make you look at your dog and your relationship in a whole new way and you'll learn some wonderful foundation behaviours along the way that you can use in so many every day situations.
